Farmers Market comes to Sunland.

What a treat to visit a local Farmer’s Market where all your friends are shopping! Saturday was the opening day at the Tierra Del Sol campus and the weather was great. It’s starting out as a small market with lots of options from fresh fruits and vegetables, seafood, ethnic foods and a small crafts area, but as people get acquainted with it, there will be more vendors that offer candles, flowers and freshly cooked food. For now, they have a few food vendors that provided heavenly tamales and fresh coffee. There is a large area for the market as well and has plenty of room for parking…for free!

They are open from Saturdays 9-1pm and you need to go early to get the best selection (before your neighbor does). The vendors are very friendly and answer all questions we have for them. There is also a booth here with cheese and cheese curds which is extremely delicious and organic!

The Sunland-Tujunga Chamber of Commerce was out in force bringing in dignitaries such as Senator Anthony Portantino and Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra for the grand opening ribbon cutting.

This is a fun place to visit and see old friends. 9919 Sunland Blvd., Sunland, CA.
