A couple of weeks ago, a charity fundraiser to benefit the non-profit organization SHADOW HILLS RIDING CLUB (SHRC) honored Elizabeth Shatner, CEO of All Glory Foundation and an avid advocate of American veterans assisted through equine therapy.
SHRC hosted the Rockin’ the Ranch BBQ & Dance to raise money for their equine therapy programs, including “Saddles for Soldiers” which The All Glory Project and Elizabeth Shatner sponsor.
Shatner, an accomplished equestrian, sponsors a multitude of non-profit organizations and is a champion of the physical and emotional healing found in the use of therapeutic horsemanship. A tireless advocate for the needs of our U.S. veterans, she offers guidance, endorsement, grant facilitation and charitable donations to many charities and equine therapy programs, including SHRC’s Saddles For Soldiers. She is the wife of actor William Shatner.
The SHRC is a 501(c)3 non-profit Path International Premier Accredited Therapy Center that provides equine therapy to under served populations including special needs children and adults, U.S. veterans and adults in recovery from addiction. Their mission is to provide unbridled possibilities through the healing art of the equine.
This first annual fundraiser featured a special presentation with some of the veterans from Saddles for Soldiers and their therapy horses.
The event offered cocktails, dinner (BBQ with vegan and vegetarian options), square dancing, entertainment (Echo Mountain, a live fiddle band) and a silent auction featuring incredible gifts like vacations at 4-star resorts in the Caribbean (Antigua, St. Lucia, The Grenadines), Mexico and Panama, electronics, jewelry, tickets to The Ellen Show, art, spa packages, collectibles and more.
