The Sunland Certified Farmers Market will have its Grand Opening on June 3 at 9 a.m. on the Tierra del Sol Foundation campus at 9919 Sunland Boulevard.
The market will have beautiful, organic, and non-organic produce, local art, delicious foods, and provide a wonderful place for the community to connect with each other, farmers, and fresh food. The Sunland Farmers Market will run every Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. rain or shine. Free parking is easily accessible on the Tierra del Sol campus.
This market was created to serve the community of Sunland-Tujunga, and beyond. Its mission is to provide excellent products, while creating social ties between the local communities, and farmers.
Market manager Luke Crowley says, “We’re really hoping that this is a huge blessing to the community here. Sunland is currently without a farmers market while so many other areas of L.A. have one of their own. We’re hoping the community comes out strong in our first few weeks to show our farmers that we want this to work!”
